Abby is leading a community health initiative in Chambers County, Alabama, focused on reducing barriers to breastfeeding among African American women. Through culturally relevant breastfeeding education classes and opportunities for peer connection, she aims to empower women with the knowledge and support they need to initiate and sustain breastfeeding. This work is critical, as breastfeeding offers protection against disease processes that disproportionately affect African American women, contributing to long-term health equity in the community.
