Ashely is addressing rural eyecare and the impact of systemic diseases on vision by developing an optometry protocol for the Community of Hope Health Clinic’s mobile unit. The mobile optometry clinic will travel to underserved rural areas to provide vision screenings and care. Additionally, she is creating a series of educational videos to inform patients about how conditions like diabetes and hypertension affect eye health. Her project aims to increase access to eye care, promote early detection, and empower patients through education in the communities served.
