Callahan is addressing lack of health literacy and proper system management for prescription distribution at the Foundry, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. She is doing this by establishing a proper medication distribution system designed specifically for this facility and by hosting personalized medication “workshops”.  Ultimately, the program will aim to provide patients leaving the program the proper skills to manage their own medications, while also placing a long-term system in place to provide safer, more effective, and less time intensive ways of distributing medications to active participants.
