Erin built off of current strategies and services to uninsured patients in the area to increase their medication access and adherence. Through a local clinic that serves underserved and uninsured patients, Mercy Medical Clinic, she developed a process to educate patients on their current medications and ensure medications are easily accessible at little to no cost to their patients. Erin also incorporated organizations at the Harrison College of Pharmacy to volunteer to help patients better understand their medications and medical conditions and allow students to get experience talking with real patients. Patients at Mercy Medical were able to learn more about some of the medications they are taking and the importance of being adherent to their medication.
