Kensley is addressing social isolation among older adults with and without hearing loss in Chambers County by establishing an Aural Rehabilitation program. In addition to providing participants and their loved ones with opportunities to learn more about hearing healthcare, the program will offer a welcoming space to connect with peers and practice effective communication strategies. Ultimately, the program will aim not only to reduce social isolation, but also to foster a broader sense of self-confidence, empowerment, and engagement by equipping participants with tools to navigate communication challenges and build meaningful social connections.
