Carson is developing a standardized oral health screening tool for use in mobile clinic settings to improve identification of patients with unmet dental needs. The tool enables nondental healthcare providers to efficiently assess oral health and facilitate appropriate referrals to dental care. It also incorporates patient education to promote oral hygiene and disease prevention. Ultimately, the project aims to improve early detection, strengthen referral pathways, and expand access to oral health care in underserved populations.
