The ASF Catalyst Fund provides small, rapid-response grants to support current and alumni Alabama Schweitzer Fellows as they pursue opportunities that strengthen their leadership, enhance their projects, and increase their impact in communities across Alabama.

Funding may be requested for activities such as:

Professional development and training
Conferences and workshops
Project expansion or sustainability
Community engagement initiatives
Research dissemination and publication
Other leadership or project-related opportunities

Before You Begin

Please note the following before completing your application:

Grant requests typically range from $250–$2,000.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Funding requests should align with the mission and values of ASF Alabama.
Award decisions are based on the proposed opportunity, anticipated impact, budget, and available funding.
Applicants may be asked to submit a brief impact report after completing the funded activity.

Reporting Requirements

To help us measure the impact of the ASF Catalyst Fund and share the stories of those we support, grant recipients will be asked to complete a few simple reporting requirements after their funded opportunity is complete. Please review and acknowledge the commitments below.

If awarded an ASF Catalyst Fund grant, I agree to:

Use funds only for the approved purpose outlined in my application.

Submit a brief impact report within 30 days of completing the funded activity.

Provide at least one photo that ASF Alabama may use for communications and fundraising.

Share a short testimonial (2–3 sentences) describing how the Catalyst Fund supported my leadership, project, or professional development.

Submit receipts or documentation of expenses if requested.

Notify ASF Alabama if the funded activity changes significantly or cannot be completed as proposed.
