Shanquell implemented a community-based child safety education initiative in partnership with the Community Care Development Network (CCDN). She conducted outreach at food distribution sites and parent-focused events to educate families on preventing childhood injuries, with a strong emphasis on proper car seat use. Through brief surveys, interactive discussions, and educational materials, she assessed knowledge gaps and reinforced key safety practices. Shanquell also connected eligible families to SAFE Kids resources, guiding them through the process of obtaining and correctly installing car seats. Her efforts expanded access to critical safety information and resources for families across the community.
