Elizabeth developed a fall prevention and health promotion project for seniors ages 65 years and older focusing a four-phase effort to provide fall risk reduction education, enhance senior involvement in community organizations, increase quality of life and mobility through the dissemination of DME and reduce risk factors related to fall with grab bar installation. As a direct result of her project over 200 seniors received education, resources and interventions determined by evidence based data to reduce fall related risk; 100% of recommended durable medical equipment was distributed; and 100% of recommended grab bars will be installed.
