MaKayla is working to improve health behaviors and strengthen health self-management among women experiencing homelessness through a peer-supported health education and navigation program at First Light Shelter. By providing participants with health education, resources, and individualized support, her project aims to empower women to better navigate healthcare systems, build confidence in managing their health, and improve overall well-being.
